Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 23 April 2025

AliSavePro (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you may provide while using our services. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, what rights you have, and how we comply with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, including the User Data Policy, Minimum Permission Policy, and related security and privacy requirements.

This Privacy Policy applies to both the use of our website (https://alisavepro.com/) and our Chrome Extension (AliSavePro).

1. Your Consent

By installing and using the AliSavePro Chrome Extension or visiting alisavepro.com, you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and consent to our practices as described herein.

We do not collect, transmit, or sell personal or sensitive user data. All processing is handled locally within the user’s browser and device, in accordance with the [Chrome Web Store User Data Policy] and related privacy rules.

2. Collection of Personal or Sensitive Data

We Do NOT Collect or Handle Any Personal or Sensitive User Data

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

  • Personally identifiable information (PII) — such as your name, address, phone number, or email.

  • Web browsing activity — including domains, URLs, page contents, or resource requests.

  • Form data or anything you enter on websites.

  • Authentication information — including login credentials, session tokens, or cookies.

  • Financial/payment information — such as credit card numbers or billing addresses.

  • Health or biometric data.

  • User-generated content.

  • Website content or resources (text/images from the pages you visit).

  • Cached items, cookie contents, or browser storage data not owned by the extension.

We do not collect information through background activity, data scraping, or remote logging. All processing is strictly local to the user’s browser session.

3. Permissions Disclosure (Required by Chrome Web Store)

The AliSavePro extension requests the minimum set of permissions necessary to offer its user-facing features.

Permission Purpose
storage Saves user download settings in the popup UI locally in your browser.
downloads Allows downloading images when the user manually clicks the download button.
webRequest Monitors image API requests on AliExpress & Alibaba to detect when image data is available. This is used only to enhance download accuracy and is handled entirely within the browser. No request payload or user data is transmitted externally.
host_permissions Enables the extension to operate on relevant product pages from AliExpress and Alibaba:
*://*.alibaba.com/*, *://*.aliexpress.com/*, *://*.aliexpress.ru/*, *://*.aliexpress.us/*, *://*.alisavepro.com/*
This is required for the download button injection on localized product pages.

All permissions are reviewed for minimum scope in accordance with the [Minimum Permission Policy]. We never request permissions for future features or speculative access.

4. How Content Scripts Are Used

The extension’s content.js script is only injected on product-related pages, specifically:

These URLs correspond to AliExpress and Alibaba product detail pages.

What it does:

  • Injects a download button into the product page.

  • Extracts image data visible on the product page DOM (processed locally).

  • Does not access checkout pages, user profile pages, login areas, or non-product sections.

This is considered a user-facing feature, as required by Chrome Web Store’s “Limited Use” requirements. The script does not collect, transmit, or access any personal information.

5. How We Use Non-Personal Data

AliSavePro may use local mechanisms like chrome.storage.local or localStorage to store:

  • Your download settings (e.g., preferred image quality or formats).

  • UI state and toggle preferences.

In rare cases, anonymized data such as extension version, install date, or update events may be sent via HTTPS to Google Analytics, solely to:

  • Track extension usage volume

  • Diagnose update failures

  • Improve performance

This transmission is secure, anonymized, and never associated with user identity or browsing activity. No personal data is ever sent or linked.

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymized usage statistics about our website and extension.
When Google Signals is enabled, GA4 may associate this data with Google account information for users who have consented to Ads Personalization in their Google settings. This may include cross-device tracking and aggregated reporting on demographics and interests.

All data is processed according to Google’s Privacy Policy. No personally identifiable information (PII) is shared with us.

Users can opt out of Google Analytics tracking or Ads Personalization at any time:

6. Data Transmission and Security

We do not transmit user data to our servers or any third parties. Any analytics or event data is sent anonymously over a secure HTTPS connection and complies with Chrome Web Store’s encryption standards (AES, RSA, modern TLS protocols).

There are no external API calls to our backend that involve user data or image content.

7. Data Sharing and Third Parties

AliSavePro does not:

  • Sell or trade user data.

  • Share information with third-party advertisers.

  • Access or store any cookies or session identifiers.

  • Transfer data outside your local browser environment.

The only network activity is directly between your browser and AliExpress’s public APIs (images and metadata), which happens through your own browser’s session context.

For analytics purposes, anonymized usage data may be shared with Google Analytics. This data is aggregated and does not include personal identifiers. We use this solely to understand how users interact with our site and extension, and to improve usability.

If Google Signals is enabled, aggregated data may include demographics and cross-device insights, but no personal identity is ever disclosed to us.

8. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

AliSavePro complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Our extension and website are not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect information from minors and take appropriate action to delete such data if discovered.

9. California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

In accordance with CalOPPA, we provide full transparency regarding:

  • What data we do not collect

  • What permissions are requested

  • What functionality those permissions support

We do not share or disclose personal information to outside parties without user consent — in fact, we don’t collect any in the first place.

10. Terms and Conditions

Please refer to our Terms and Conditions page for detailed information regarding the use, disclaimers, and limitations of liability governing the use of our site, extension, and services.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in:

  • Chrome Web Store policies

  • Permissions and features of the extension

  • Our legal obligations

When we do, we will:

  • Update the date at the top of this page

  • Announce the update in our extension changelog and on our website

TL;DR

AliSavePro is designed with zero tracking, no user profiling, and no personal data collection.
Everything runs on your device. No data ever leaves your browser.
